David J. Hofmann
Mr. Hofmann is an Operating Partner of Izar Capital Group, and has extensive experience in strategic consulting, new market development, international expansion, project management and Chinese market development (to and from). His 35-year career has included senior management roles in the food, healthcare, automotive, manufacturing and textile sectors, as well as 17 years living and working in China and Hong Kong.
Most recently, Mr. Hofmann served as the Director (North America) of InterChina Consulting, the leading boutique strategy and M&A advisory firm serving the Chinese market, where he established and lead its North American operations, and provided deal origination and market entry and investment strategy to corporate clients.

Mr. Hofmann holds an MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business (New York) an undergraduate degree in Social Science and International Relations from Michigan State University. Mr. Hofmann is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and conversant in Spanish.

- Leading the advisory team which supported JM Smucker & Company’s (NYSE: SJM) multi-year expansion into China, encompassing equity investments, staffing and the establishment of a representative office.
- Serving as a member of the leadership team of CHINDEX (1993-2004), a premier healthcare products and services company serving the US and China, during which the company grew from $10MM to $100MM in revenue, and included an initial public offering on NASDAQ.
- Leading an effort to execute, from concept to operation, a 100-bed premium hospital in Beijing.
- Establishing a Hong Kong representative office for Siemens/Acuson Ultrasound products in the Hong Kong market.
