Client: European headquartered, global leader in integrated waste management, including waste to materials and waste to energy, waste to clean water, emissions to energy (landfill biogas capture), contaminated land to usable space and disposal/landfill management, executing projects in in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, and serving governments and private industry for over 5,000 clients in over 14 countries throughout its 25 year history.
The Problem: Client was embarking on global operational and financial review to better organize for the next 10 years of business opportunities, the key action items of which included a strategic partner search for the U.S. and Latam markets, project specific financing (debt and equity), implementation contract negotiation for key long-term Middle East project, and a bank group refinancing.

- Conducted internal analysis from perspective of creditor for key items, including growth prospects, customer concentration, profit by customer-product-employee basis and contract runoff analysis
- Created dynamic scenario analysis model for Client, with appropriate value levers for use during negotiations with possible partners
- Advised Client on strategic issues relating to: the choice of creditor; the negotiation, structuring and closing process; and specific structuring and tactical issues
