William "Bill" R. Cullen - Operating Partner
Bill Cullen is a highly respected executive with several decades of C-level experience in media, mobile, technology, consumer products and advertising.
Over the last 10 years, he has served as a special advisor to the CEO and management teams of both private and public companies with regard to investment, monetization, complex negotiations, and growth strategies.
Currently, he is the non-executive Chairman of an award-winning travel comfort products company www.cabeau.com and an advisor to the founder/owner of a long-established sunglass brand www.eeo.com, both enjoying rapid growth in worldwide distribution.
In addition to founding and organizing start-ups in the sports and entertainment fields, most recently, he served for several years as the CEO of Txtstation Global Limited, a leading mobile marketing firm whose customers included the NFL, NHL, NBA and leading sports venues. The firm was acquired by a competitor in 2012 in a transaction he initiated, negotiated and closed. Between 1998 and 2005, he served in various executive officer capacities including Chairman, President and CEO for Webb Interactive, a publicly traded, enterprise software developer serving the community building, messaging and carrier technology markets, as well as Chairman of Jabber, Inc., an early instant messaging incubation to operational project involving France Telecom and Intel as investors, later acquired by Cisco.
Previously, he served as Chairman and CEO of Access Television Network, Inc., a long-form media sales company that he helped grow from inception to carriage in over 30 million cable television households. Prior to ATN, Mr. Cullen was President and CEO of California News Channel, a programming project of Cox Communications, Inc., and, for more than a decade, held various high level positions with Tribune Cable, United Cable and United Artists Cable in which he was nationally recognized for a record of innovation and industry progress.
Mr. Cullen was a founder and the first Chairman of Adlink, Los Angeles, which became and remains the largest cable television advertising interconnect in the country. Mr. Cullen served on the boards as well as two terms as Chairman of both the California and Southern California Cable Television Associations and was instrumental in the formation of the Los Angeles Marketing Council. He has served as chairman and a board member of numerous cable industry trade groups and organizations and is the recipient of several important industry leadership recognition awards among which is Marketing Executive of the Year. Mr. Cullen began his business career in banking and has held several senior finance positions in a wide variety of businesses including sports franchises in the NBA and NHL, real estate, restaurants and consumer and commercial finance companies.
